New check-in baggage policy of Cebu Pacific
This is to further streamline our operations and provide guests a more efficient check-in and bag drop experience at the airport.
If you pre-purchased 20 kilos bag allowance, you can check in up to 2 pieces of bags only.
Should you have a 3rd bag, you’ll need to purchase another piece/bag allowance up to 4 hours before the flight. Otherwise, excess bag fees will apply at the airport.
TIP: Pack souvenirs into a bigger bag so you don’t go over!
Beijing Daxing International Airport nicknamed "the Starfish" began its first commercial flights on Wednesday - September 18, 2019.
When it reaches full capacity, it is expected to become the largest airport in the world.
Designed by Zaha Hadid, measures more than 700,000 square meters, already making it the world’s largest airport in terms of surface area.
It has been nicknamed the “starfish” by local media for its resemblance to the animal, with several wings shooting off of one central point. The airport includes separate passenger areas for domestic and international travel.
The airport is also expected to boast some high-tech features. Customer service robots will roam the terminal and provide passengers with up-to-the-minute updates on flight status and weather. The airport also hopes to become a transportation hub, complete with high-speed rail. Express trains will be able to get passengers from the airport to the city center in less than 20 minutes.
It is expected that the airport will have service to 112 destinations around the world by Spring 2020.
Cebu Pacific has been notified by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) that it has banned all passengers and flight crews from bringing 15-inch Macbook Pro computers manufactured and sold between September 2015 and February 2017 on all flights between Vietnam and the Philippines, effective immediately.
The ban also covers carrying the 15-inch Macbook pro as cargo on all flights.
This is due to risk of battery cells overheating and creating a fire hazard.
We strongly advise our passengers on flights between Manila and Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi not to bring their MacBook Pro laptops as hand-carry or check-in baggage.
